Very Insightful and major help to my marriage separation

I purchased this book after reading many of the articles that Dr. Ito has posted on building, maintaining and reconciling relationships. He has such an intimate knowledge of both what has happened and what is going to happen. I have used this book and his articles as a "map" as what to expect during my separation with my wife. His work has allowed me to stabilize myself and my emotions as I work on the issues he so clearly defined.
Personally, I feel so strongly about the work that Dr. Ito has done that I am going to employ his coaching services. For anyone that feels their marriage could be better, is on the rocks, or even if you think your marriage is great or you are engaged to be married, you need to buy this book. You will not be sorry you did. I wish I had read it 13 years ago because if I did, I wouldn't be where I am today.

A brilliant book

I felt very good about the info. in Connecting Through Yes. Conversely, I felt awful about the info. in one Christian marriage book I skimmed. It was by author Gary Smalley. I ended up not purchasing it. It felt to me to be encouraging a one sided marriage.
It's curious to me that both of the authors, Mr. Ito and Mr. Smalley, encourage a similar message but the difference is Mr. Smalley's pertains to female subservience while Mr. Ito's does not. I shutter to think how much damage that advise would do to me and my relationship if I hadn't read Mr. Ito's books instead.
