Not only does this book enlighten you to be the parent you wish you had, but it gives meaning to why we behave the way we do. I hope to see The Manual be a standard textbook in our schools. The perfect book for answers about behavior and personality

If you're on a journey of discovery and healing this is the perfect book to facilitate that process. Dr. Faye takes topics normally reserved for PhD's and professional therapists and presents them in a clear, easy to understand style. The Manual teaches the layperson the common personality disorders (bi-polar, passive aggressive, narcissist, etc) and their underlying causes so that if you are suffering from one or many of them you can take a journey of self discovery about how these disorders arise in a personality. We learn from Dr Faye that a personality disorder is not who we are, but rather a series of coping mechanisms built in our childhood years and that the more severe the disorder the more severe the abuse and/or neglect that caused it. Armed with this information, a person who may have otherwise felt hopeless can begin to learn healthy coping mechanisms that are the building blocks of a healthy personality. And he in turn can pass these healthy habits down to his offspring. I can think of no book that is more timely or crucial for our society and I wish I could buy a copy for every person on the planet.

The "used" book arrived in pristine condition. Lots of beautiful photos and illustrations for a beginner like myself. Information well layed out with useful charts. I do like having a separate book that has a broader directory of EO's but the most common 60 EO's are covered in this book. The book is easy reading with more than enough to get you started on your way with Aromatherapy.

Duff is the President of SEMTAS Corporation and is internationally recognized as a leader in the development of engineering technology for achieving electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) in communication and electronic systems. The best instructions on making arrows I've read.

There are several dangerous aspects to archery--for primitive archery enthusiasts there are more than those faced by archers using modern equipment. One of them is the danger of arrows splintering when fired. Mr. Tomihama's book gives excellent advise on choosing shafts, cutting nocks, making and mounting a steel broadhead or pile heads, fletching and cresting your arrows. Following Mr. Tomihama's process will result in arrows which are as safe as can be made by human hands using wood shafts.

Yes, simple and basic...

and seriously, when the SHTF, you won't be whipping up any carbon fiber arrows in your kitchen, or trading for any aluminium tubing... so best to learn to make good quality arrows with what will be lying around "after the fact"... preppers take note!

Useful and helpful, but could be broader

Let me start out by saying that this book is EXACTLY what it claims to be - it will show you how to select dowels from your local store or lumberyard, straighten them, prepare them, and finish them into complete arrows that you can proudly use alongside your archery tackle (PVC or otherwise - I also enjoy the author's "Impossible Bow" book on plumbing-pipe archery).

So why not 5 stars? Mostly because I wish the book had a little bit more content. Like I say, if what you're looking for is how to turn dowels into arrow for simple home-made shafting, look no further. But what would have made the book irreplaceable would be the inclusion of instructions for making dowels from boards! Dowels are usually so expensive if you're buying at a big-box store that you're almost as well off buying pre-made shafts or finished arrows; get a board of Douglas Fir, and you can turn out dozens of arrows for under $15!

Other than that, and the feeble desire that Nicholas talked about things like prepping bamboo cane for shafting, I really am satisfied with this purchase. Nick's recently gone over to writing full-time, so this is the sort of thing that supports him. I'm happy to help, for the huge volume of enjoyment he's given me on YouTube, and I hope lots of others feel the same, so that he can continue providing us with fantastic content!

Yo Sushi Cookbook

'Yo Sushi' is a wonderful book showing the techniques and method of Japanese cooking. It is clear to cook from and the direction and explanations are excellent. There is a brief introduction to Sushi and Japanese cooking and the terms used etc and then it's on to the recipes, which covers some from the restaurants and a few additional ones for this book. This book gradually increases in difficulty as you progress through the recipes and by the end you should be a fairly competent home sushi cook. This is beautifully illustrated with mouth watering photography and the overall design and format is very pleasing on the eye. If you like Sushi and always fancied giving it a try then this is the place to start and before long you'll be creating your own mini masterpieces to delight in and enjoy.

Making Japanese at home is easy

When we were in England we were impressed by a unique fast sushi restaurant that had conveyor belts running through the restaurant with colorful bowls of food. Just pick the one you want and they tally it up at the end. When I discovered the cookbook I was thrilled to be able to replicate my families favorites from our trip. The cookbook is easy to understand and follow, some of the items must be purchased at an Asian grocery and are not available at the main chain stores. So far the dishes have turned out well. It is a fun book to own.

Over 100 recipes, all wonderful!

Didn't get it here, but I feel the need to tell you about this wonderful book! This book makes complicated dishes approachable and fun to cook. I've been picking about 2 new recipes a week to try out and they've all been wonderful.

I would recommend this book over many of the alternatives, especially for the price. Some books may have more recipes, but likely, they have fewer worth while recipes.
