I am a self-published author like you are. I have self-published over 6 books via Amazon and most of my sales came without any marketing or promotion. Amazon has done all the selling for me so far. All I needed to do was write a good book and put it out there in the market.
I needed to explore the infinite possibilities of promoting a book.
I wasn't convinced since I have been an online marketer for 7 years. The fire inside my marketing brain was still burning. This book has a lot of marketing tips on how to sell more books, success stories, case studies, strategies, and brilliant hacks. Book marketing is not dead. Only the techniques and strategies have changed for authors. This is the ultimate book marketing resource you will find on the internet.
You will also find a lot of interviews inside the book by prominent authors like 'Steve Scott' who is known for his 'books on habit'. He makes over $60k every month and he shares some valuable insights in this book.
Let me tell you what you should expect from this book.
I have very little first-hand experience with physical book marketing. Hence, I have taken help from tons of other marketers and publicists to write about offline book marketing. I have worked on my strengths. I am an online marketer since 7 years. I will help you to promote your books online in the most effective way.
Online marketing triumphs offline marketing since it’s cheaper, less time consuming, can be automated and an audience is easily accessible. Once you set up everything, it takes very little effort to do the promotion.

There’s no definite answer to marketing.
Marketing itself means innovation. Each and every author will need to work his way up with some unique ideas of his or her own. There are specific triggers in our brain. Whenever we read a good book or listen to a podcast, these triggers are activated. We go through a phase called, “conceptual blending” where we mix the ideas of the author/speaker with our old ideas/techniques. We can then come up with a brand new idea that’s more refined and unique.
There are thousands of marketing techniques but you can not focus on each and every one of them. It’s just not worth your time. Do remember the Pareto principle of 80-20 rule. 20% of your effort will produce 80% of the results. We will focus on that 20% effort to give us a competitive edge over our competitors.
There’s always a way to do the same thing is a lot of different ways to produce the optimum result. Example: You can either personally walk to 10-15 different bookstores in your city and request them to store a few copies of your book or email a thousand bookstore owners from across the globe with the same request but this time, it will only take a minute using automation.

A Great Book for Authors New to Self Publishing

I found this book through a post on a popular writing and publishing sub-reddit. I did not know this author or any of his previous books. I was a little leery at first about making the time commitment to reading it. Marketing books are a dime a dozen and free articles on the subject are everywhere online. I decided to give it a shot anyway. I am pretty new to self publishing, and even after doing a ton of research and publishing 9 fiction pieces of my own, I felt like I was still stumbling through the process.
I am very glad I took the time and I whole heartedly endorse Mr. Das' book. It started with very basic advice, framed by the six principles of persuasion. A lot of it seems like common sense found in many articles and books. Do not let this deter you. It is just the foundation for what all you are about to learn. Mr. Das then went into great detail on how you should establish yourself as an author with a big, yet focused, web presence. He discusses how to build a fan base and how to funnel that dedication into sales. He discusses with specificity what you should do during the pre-launch stage of your book, launch, and post-launch. What really impressed me was how detailed the advice got in many places. He gave specific instructions, multiple examples, and data supporting his advice. He also included interviews with other authors and publishers so you get more than just one perspective.
My personal favorite section of the book was chapter 5: Embrace Opportunities. Every author new to self publishing needs to read this chapter. It is one of the shorter chapters and it does not have as much new info as many other sections of the book. However, it was the motivational kick in the butt that I needed, and that I think a lot of other writers need too.
Mr. Das has earned a new fan in me and I plan to read more from his catalogue.

Creative marketing for long-term success!

I got my hands on this book as soon as it got released. I had been looking forward to reading it for quite some time now as I have been a follower of Harsh for a few months and I have seen how much hard work and dedication he puts in his work- both his books and his website that is an excellent free source of information for self-published authors. It’s enough to follow him on facebook and twitter to realize he is serious about what he does and his passion to help other authors comes from his heart. He follows through what he preaches and he is a fan of long-term success. As opposed to many kindle gurus who tell you how much money they make from some kindle pamphlets they did not have to write (that of course are kept secret, or you can see a couple of their “bestsellers” with rankings that are like 700.000 paid or worse)- Harsh gets visible results and he is really transparent. He writes good books and he knows how to combine his passion with marketing skills. Just read his bio to see how much he has achieved at the age of 24.
This book will not be for you if you are looking for a few websites and facebook groups to “post your books” thinking that you are actually marketing them. Oh man, I have had enough of authors spamming facebook with their masterpieces or outsourced pamphlets for a quick buck, calling it “marketing”. Now, with this rant out of the way, let me tell you why I decided to give this book a big 5 stars review:
1. Harsh goes to the root of the art of book marketing and encourages you to think out of the box.
2. He underlines the importance of personal branding, something that I am now pursuing myself
3. He does not focus on “where” (as all those get rich today kindle marketing books) but on “how”- and encourages you to go through the process instead of looking for quick events. BTW, Harsh I am also a big fan of Tony Robbins and MJ DeMarco and I love to see how you actually apply what they teach and I also love to see you succeed.
4. He makes social media easy and encourages you to outsource certain repetitive tasks which I agree with +many authors really should apply (I have seen way too many authors trying to do it all on their own, whereas they should be writing).
5. Gives really awesome strategies to network with other bloggers from your niche.
6. Has a really strong call to action.
7. Makes e-mail marketing easy and tells you how to go about it even if you are an e-mail marketing virgin.
8. He has an excellent writing style, it feels as if he was talking to you and guiding you.
9. His motivational energy is really infectious. He wants you to work SMART.
10. He includes some really useful resources and stresses the importance of choosing blogs and websites with high rankings and big audience and how to avoid scam.
+ much much more.
I am getting busy now with personal branding. I will post an update on this review in a couple of months.
I am an action taker, big time, but what this author does is incredible. Great role model for me, and I recommend you grab this book. It includes a few pretty interesting free resources that will save you time.
Congrats for Harsh for putting this book together and I can’t wait to check out more of his tips.

Great value

Awesome little book of solid marketing advice that's well with its cover price. Some of the information sounds like a no brainer while other advice may scare you, but trust me, fight the fear, it's worth it!
